Take me to love!

Just finished watching Bride & Prejudice, and spoofed off version of Pride & Prejudice, and I would say that both are definately worth watching! Have been addicted to watching DVDs lately, really missed the movies, but they are just so expensive here in Paris! However, I definately do have to catch Pirates of the Carribean 3 next week when it comes out!

Anyway, time really flies, and in a blink, summer's coming, and my term is coming to a close. Amsterdam this weekend will be my last stop before my exams, as well as the end of my exchange. Think I am really gonna miss Paris especially, coz it's been such a memorable time here! Staying with my flatmates, cooking together, hanging out with the Singaporeans and other nationals at our house parties, chilling out at a French restaurant, walking by the river at night, laughing and hugging each other to keep from the cold, gazing at Eiffel Tower from a distance - things that I would remember most, and hold dear to my heart! Think I might just cry when we have to say goodbye to all these!

Well, I guess the end of this exchange would also mark the closing of one of the phases in my life. Throughout this whole trip, especially in times that I am alone, I have been thinking through a lot of things. There's many things that I want to pursue, yet many things that I am obligated to do, and many things that I have to give up in exchange as well. So how do I determine which ones to pursue, and which ones to leave behind? Well, I guess there's no indefinite answer yeah - that I just have to take things as they go along. I hope I won't turn back the way I came, nor regret the decisions which I take - just hope that when I'm sad, there'll always be people around me, so I won't be alone. Well, one thing I wanna do is to close this blog - gonna miss it so, as this blog has been with me for more than 3 years now, through many ups and downs. Sigh, oh well, time to move on!

Okies, gotta end here to continue mugging for my project. Gonna watch Cirque du Soleil tonight after french class with Keli and gang - can't wait!

See you in a bit!

Wow, it's been a long month in April, and eons since I blogged! Just came back a few hours ago from Switzerland, and have been making a few calls to my parents, corn, jie and talking to a couple of friends on msn. Been missing you all so much! Anyway, the past month for me was really one that was hectic and packed, but totally awesome! Here's a list of things I've done:

My FIRST Time....

1. Riding a Donkey! (In Santorini, Greece) - Was really cool, like the one u'd seen in Shrek! Took it up a very steep and winding slope from the port to the main part of town. Though they're really smelly, but are totally adorable!

2. Riding a Bike without a licence! (In Santorini, Greece) - Was awesome, as we rented bikes to drive to the beach, and also to go watch sunset at Oia (pronounced Ee-year). Don't have a bike licence, and furthermore, I didn't have my driving licence at all (coz it was stolen and still in replacement), so my friend had to rent it for me. Had trouble with kick-starting the bike several times, and remembered the bike stalled uphill on one occasion, and it was terrible pushing the bike up the dark lane without any street lights, especially coz our headlights were spoilt! Scary!

3. Sunbathing Topless! (In Santorini, Greece) - Was lying topless in a white hammock at Perissa Beach, the famous black sand beach in Santorini! Haha guess it's my first time trying to get my boobs tanned as well - and it was lucky that no one came by (or at least I hoped no one did). Guess Santorini was really one of my highlights of the trip!

4. Climbing a Volcano! (Mount Vesuvius, Italy) - Was a long and tiring 1-hr trek up the mountain from the nearest alighting point, but it was so totally worth it! Met a Bulgarian girl with her bf on the way up too, and it was a memorable trip up with them! I have to visit Bulgaria sometime! *Fingers crossed*

5. Buying a Gucci Wallet! (Chiasso, Switzerland) - Took a train from Milan to the Foxtown outlet over the Swiss border to shop, and boy did I spend quite a bit! Bought a Nike jacket and a Killah top as well - guess I would have to budget tightly from now on!

6. Paragliding! (Interlaken, Switzerland) - For those who're unfamiliar, basically for take off, you'll run off the mountain with a parachute - but of course jumping off with a guide, as I don't have a licence to do it alone. Was totally awesome though! Got to steer the parachute as it was descending too, and the view of Jungfrau was simply amazing as we flew! One of my best memories!

7. Playing snow on the French Alps! (Chamonix-Mont Blanc, Border of France-Swit) Ohh...the view was so breath-taking as we took the cable car up the snow mountain, and boy was it freezing cold - I thought my fingers would drop off, as I kept writing words in the snow! And we stayed up there pretty long too, much longer than the average tourist, coz we were busy snapping pictures, building a snowman, and throwing snow-balls! Maybe one day I should try ice-climbing too!

8. Being in UN Headquarters! (Geneva, Switzerland) - Went on the tour of the UN Headquarters, and it was really memorable for me - especially being in the assembly halls where disarmament talks were held - things that we often heard about in debates and research. Think Daniel should be here to see it all! Also, we stayed with a guy who worked in UN, and took a private tour and lunch at WHO (World Health Organization) - cool! The work at UN really fascinates me too - and I'm considering if it's possible working there. Well, guess time would work things out!

Okies, so that's my list for now, and counting! Other places I've been since I'd last blogged were mainly in the region and Scandavania as well:

- Italy (Rome, Napoli, Pompeii, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Milan)
- Greece (Athens, Santorini)
- Sweden (Stockholm and Uppsala) - had a private tour of Word of Life, and attended svc by Pst Ulf too!
- Denmark (Copenhagen)
- Switzerland (Bern, Interlaken, Zurich, Rhine Falls, Schauffhausen, Stein am Rheine, Chamonix-Mont Blanc, Geneva)

Sigh, I've gotta run now to catch some sleep before my french test tml - I haven't barely started revising! And leaving for Belgium this weekend too! Oh gosh - wish me luck! Ciao!
