Hello! It's a bright new saturday! Been writing my diary, and I thought I'll blog too! =) There's one verse in the Bible that I love, here's it :

Ecclesiastes 3:1-10

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven :
A time to be born, and a time to die
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted
A time to kill, and a time to heal
A time to break down, and a time to build up
A time to weep, and a time to laugh
A time to mourn, and a time to dance
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing
A time to gain, and a time to lose
A time to keep, and a time to throw away
A time to tear, and a time to sew
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak
A time to love, and a time to hate
A time of war, and a time of peace.

What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?"

I think it is a really beautiful verse..one of my favourites! It never fails to assure me that God's always in control of all, that He makes all things beautiful, in His time! Remembered I was in sec sch studying for my literature exam..and I was so totally tired and stressed. Tired coz I took 9 subjects + higher chinese. Stressed coz I had to maintain a minimum of 70/75 (A2/A1) average to stay in my class, and lit was a tough subject to score, coz the marking was obviously too subjective to predict. So minutes just before stepping into the exam hall for the lit paper which I've barely studied for, I was trying to cram all the Romeo and Juliet/Macbeth quotes in my head, just as many others. I got so nervous and stressed that I couldn't even pray, and the quotes were just floating about in my head. Finally, I managed to whispered to myself "Lord please help me, I can't do this on my own."...and suddenly, unknowingly, I started humming this verse (a kid's song with this verse in it)..and singing it, I felt the peace of God descending on me. I became very still and calm..until I stepped into the hall..coz then I panicked, remembering that I didn't finish memorising the quotes. But, guess what, when I flipped open the paper, to my surprise and shock, I saw this exact verse on my exam paper! It's unbelievable! It came out as one of the random passages picked..and we were supposed to transcribe the passage in our own words. I stared in disbelief, but I also knew that He was with me! To me, He's really one who never fails, despite our shortcomings. And He's too real for me to ever give up on him...is it the same for you too? I hope so! =)

oKie..shall pen off here..have an awesome weekend! ~

What by me thou hast lost, thou least shalt miss. -- Milton.

Catch the phrase? Neither do I. Laughs. Ooh, it's gab's b'dae today! Grinz..His cg celebrated his b'dae for him yesterday..at fish n co! Andy and I went down..and it was really fun! Gab's 20 this yr..and for that, we each gave him a sabo/dare to complete (20 in all)...each wrapped in an ang bao. Some were mild, some were really wild! He was really sporting..he drank chilli sauce, peppered hersheys, did push-ups in the restaurant, said pick-up lines to strangers, sang a love song. As it went on..the dares got bolder! One of the worst was, he was supposed to kiss a girl at the table, on the cheek, whose name starts with the letter 'M'! It was definately a planned sabo by his cgl, coz no one in his cg had a name which starts with 'M', and she was the only one who knew I was coming! It was super embarrassing..there were so many ppl ard..so I insisted on a virtual kiss. In the end, we settled for a kiss on my hand. But in all it was really fun! I realized I really missed my old zone, missed the other half of triple-E, missed my friends! And of course I do miss him too, alot! Haven't talked to him in ages, miss him playin the guit, miss the way he smiles at me, miss hanging ard with his cg! It's a wonder how our 2 cgs are still so united despite the fact we've multipled, changed zone, and changed svc as well! This whole big combined grp is one that I feel, the care and concern that stems from it is so real! It only goes to reinforce why cell groups are so vital! Can't wait for the next time that we'll meet up again! =) Will have many chances this year, coz many are celebrating their 21st's! Grinz. Can't wait for mine! Half anticipating, half-dreading. Excited, coz i'm finally 21! Hesitant, coz boy, i'd really be deadmeat..from all their sabos. Wonders if we'll still celebrate our b'daes year after year...till we grow old! Laughs...u think so? Guess only time will tell...wiNk!

LaugHs..

Hello! Whoa..it's been some time since I wrote. Anyway, i had a good wkend! Went to KL to attend Mr Khoo's crown ambassador recognition night. Took a visit to his hotel room...and boy, it was simply gor-geous! He was given the golden suite, which spans the entire top floor of The Palace of the Golden Horses (Most expensive hotel in KL)! What marvels me was that there was a grand piano in the room! More than that, it has it's own pool table, games area, kitchen, dining, living, study rooms. Gosh, it's best suite that I've ever seen as yet! Spanning 3 storeys, it's largest toilet alone is almost the size of the whole of my downstairs! It has 2 large basins, 4 cubicles, 2 shower areas, 1 large jacuzzi, 1 walk-in changing area, sofas etc! Haha..that's so much for the details! It costs RM 25,000+ per night. Boy, wonder when will I ever be able to afford it! Laughs. Anyway, I was really glad to be back at church! Missed my SIA interview just to wake my mum to go down to church..sigHz. But I guess it's worth it! I'd rather be home than to be away. Anyway, I missed svc last week..and haven't ushered for ages! Really feel bad! Haha..I should feel bad yeah. Well..hmm....really wonder what this new year holds for me...and for my friends ard me too! Hmm..but I definately hope it'll be g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s! =) Really miss some people...wonder how they are doing? Mmm..Well..I can just pick up the phone to call, can't I? Haha..Silly me...laughs. Haha, Tink many ppl are catching the [sOtz] virus. Are you one of them? Laughs... Anyway, SMILE! coz Chinese New Year's just ahead! WiNk! See you up ahead! *hUgz*

I'm HoMe!

It's good to be back! I had a great trip to Pahang/KL, a crazy trip! Really unforgettable! Laughs. Got many bruises from the 4X4 DiRt trackiNg and raftiNg. Boy, the waterfalls were bea-u-ti-ful! It was freezing cold too, the water. We stayed in kampong-style chalets, kinda homely, but the rooms smelt real good! Wonders what washin powder they used? Anyway, we headed for KL on xmas eve morning..took a long bus ride there...and shopped for 3 wHole days! Played lots n lots of dai ti and bridge! What's interesting, we got lost on xmas eve, just before countdown (come to think of it..we didn't even countdown!?!), cdn't find our way back to our hotel! And when we finally got back..dumbo and I wanted to shock the guys by spraying those foamy/fizzy stuff on them (we secretly bought 1 bottle)..but guessed what..sam n kEeve bought 2 bottles instead! In turn, thanks to sam, I got a lump of those aw-ful stuff in my mouth, and was almost puking out. Yuck! But it was fun! Grinz..

Now for the crazy part. Meiling n Madelyn left earlier on the morning 1140 train, while ours was the night 1140 one. Guess what? We waited till 11.30pm for the train, and went down early to the platform, and we got a shock! When we took out our tic stubs, it showed 1115! It was the last train for the nite..so we had to sleep overnight at the train station! And the story gets better! The next morning, after waiting a night, we were told the trains for the weekend were all fully booked! Aw! So we decided to queue for a taxi to the bus terminal to take a coach back to s'pore. First cab we got into, we got chased out! Why? Coz we didn't have a 'taxi coupon'. If that wasn't embarassing enuff..we got out, bought the taxi stub, and queued again for another cab. This time round..3 cabs came. A family got into one, and a couple headed for the 2nd cab. So we thought we'd take the 3rd cab..but who'd guessed, the couple (we thought they were), split up, and the guy headed for the 3rd cab! Frustrated, we walked back to the front of the queue..but guess what? The taxi marshall chased us to the back of the queue again, and we queued for a 3rd time. Gosh..never felt so dumb before. Anyway, when we finally got a cab, on reaching the bus terminal, a guy rushed up to sell us bus tics, so we bought them instantly. Bad choice. Guess what, the bus came late, and what's better, on departing, it rammed a car at the side of the road. Thinking it'll still be fine..we slept. But 2hrs later..it broke down in the middle of nowhere! We were stranded in the hot bus for almost an hr while the driver fixed the stalled engine. Real eventful yeah? We were super glad to reach back s'pore after that, esp poor kEeve, who fell sick for half the trip. But it was a really interesting holiday! An forgettable xmas! Now, tHere're many new-found sotoNgs! There's dUmbo-sOtz, sAm-sOtz, and keEve-sOtz! Laughs! Sighz...Things never fail to happen when I'm ard! For the second time in the row, dUmbo and I missed the train and we spoilt a camera! And poor dumbo lost her hp too! She can't remember where she left it too. SigHz. Is it the SOTZ virus? Laughs..Well, that was my holiday! And definately not one for the faint-hearted! WiNk! Belated MerRy X'mAs!
