Home Alone - Again

Oh sigh, stuck at home mugging alone, as my parents and sis are away for holiday. Seems like deja vu again yeah. Kinda scary staying home alone though...especially when I turned on the TV and watched crime watch just now...quite freaky. Cooked my last packet of maggi mee and showered, so thought I'll come online awhile to blog. Sigh, have tons that I wanna write...just don't have the time to sit down and organize my thoughts into words. Hmm...will write sometime soon yeah, hopefully before I leave for Vietnam. Oh, something interesting about the Vietnam trip..just realized that they are sending 8 students there, 4 from SMU + 4 frm NYP! what a coincidence yeah. Met up with some of them on Friday, and brought home tons of stuff. Will have to wear the singapore jersey to the airport (eeEee!)...and they even provided us with a specially designed formal shirt to wear! Gosh, and have to bring my suit and long coat too, coz it's winter over there. Sigh, guess I have tons of things to do after exams, like organizing the bsm doc release, scheduling the Jan workshops, oh and applying for my visa. Meeshell has already applied hers today! Sigh, can't apply mine now coz it needs 2 wks to process, and I have to leave erm next wk...i think. Argh, oh well, I shd get back to studying now.

Have an awesome week...and think of me!

Awesome!

Really wanna thank God, coz the results for the project came out...and my team won the best term project for FSBIT! OCBC's sponsoring the cash prizes, but beyond the cash and recognition, I think we really put in a lot of effort for this project, and am really happy that all that work didn't go to waste! : )

Okies, it's back to mugging now. All the best for your papers too yeah!

My apologies! I've changed my hp number for about a week now. Sorry, have yet to update most of you, as I've been rushing my projects. Only remembered about it when Meeshell said she got a surprise when she saw me calling from a different number. Anyway, the 9877 number will be ported over soon though...not sure how long the service will last, but probably sufficient till I find time to sms out my new number.

Cheers!

Touchdown

Finally, it's down to my last project! Have finished PMSB at 12 last night, what's left is only the critique due on Sunday! After Monday's presentation to OCBC Bank, it's declared freedom for me, at least till the exams next week. Sigh. Oh well, it's been a really bad term for me. If I could make a comparison, perhaps this term had been the worst, as I'd stayed overnight in school on the average a day each week, and I've not gone out with my cell group in ages! Miss them so much! Been attending BBG too, for the past few months, as it clashes with my French classes. Hope my life will return back to normal soon. Laughs.

Oh ya, gonna go for Uncle Andrew's wedding later tonight, and wondering what I should wear. Haven't worn a dress in ages, perhaps in years man. Have lost some weight, but yet have tones more to lose. Laughs. Guess I will when I'm at exchange...probably gonna survive on only bread and water there. Anyway, got a shock when Elvis and Zhiqin told me they saw my picture in the school's annual report. Was one of the horrible shots I took at the photoshoot, yucks. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

Okies, shall go cook myself a nice bowl of noodles before I change out. Ta!

Hello!

Been wanting to blog, but couldn't find the time to in the last few weeks! Anyway, I'm almost done with 80% of my projects..just left with exams..and then the hols will finally come! Yeah! Oh ya, have some really cool testimonies to share though:

Vietnam. Remembered a few years back, Serena talked about going to Vietnam, and I felt a strong prompting at that point to go as well, but just didn't have the time to do so. So, when SMU had a Business Study Mission to Vietnam this dec, I had a strong urge to apply, but let the deadlines slip past as I didn't feel at peace to do so. However, guess God's plans are always greater than my plans, and amazingly halfway through this term, the school nominated me as part of the 8-member delegation team Singapore is sending to Vietnam for cultural exchange. On the trip we'll get to meet the ambassadors over there, as well as visit many heritage sites, as well as visit the team that started the telecommunications network in Vietnam, which were precisely something I had in mind, which I thought I could never do! And best of all, the trip will be fully sponsored by National Youth Council and the Vietnamese committee! God is really good yeah...and He shall fulfill the desires of your heart if you delight in Him!

Cambodia. Guess many wouldn't know, but I've been giving English tuition to a lady to works for the MP. And to my surprise, she's sponsoring me a holiday with her, to teach her English on the journey! At first she had wanted to go to Perth/Brisbane, however I told her a place I've always wanted to go to was Siem Reap, and amazingly she agreed! And best of all, she tries her best to work around my schedule to make this trip work out...so I'll be going to Cambodia right after coming back from Vietnam in Dec. Guess this is really God's blessing too yeah!

Paris. If you'd asked me a year back, I would never have thought that it was possible to go on a student exchange, coz my parents would have never agreed! But guess God has really opened up many opportunities for me to travel...from last year's stay in US...to the China/HK BSM...till now the fact that I've gotten my university confirmation to Dauphine in Paris! It's unbelievable, and simply a dream come true for me yeah! And best of all, I'll be going with darling Meeshell, Gracie and Yanbin! God is really good yeah! We're still in the midst of applying for visas now, as well as finding housing and all. Have booked our flights for Jan after I'm done with the BSM interviews...can't wait to go!! : )

Silicon Valley. Been working with Robin as teaching assistants for the Business Study Mission Course to Silicon Valley for next July...and gosh it does take up quite a bit of my time! But interestingly, I grew to quite have a passion for events management after a while, and enjoy what I've been doing. Anyway, initially I thought the school will only be off-setting the cost by 500 bucks, but just realized recently that they will be sponsoring the full cost of the BSM! Praise God yeah! Coz I'd be so broke after coming back from Europe next year...and the cost of the BSM isn't a small amount too yeah. Feel really blessed! And what's better, Meeshell might be coming along too after her graduation..so we could extend our stay in US and do a little bit of travelling. Was planning if we should go to the Canadian rockies, or take a drive down to Mexico or just hop over to Florida to meet my friends at Orlando. Feel really excited for the BSM too, coz I've arranged for many company site visits...to Google, Oracle, IBM, Yahoo, Microsoft, as well as to Stanford and Berkeley too! Haha...so wait up for the applications, they'll be coming out soon in Dec! Wink~

My Ipod! Was really upset last week, as someone stole my ipod while I was charging it at school. Sigh, but God has been really good to me! Though the person never gave it back to me, my uncle on the other hand blessed with 700bucks to get a new PDA phone, so I could use some of my savings to get a new Ipod back. Really thank my uncle too, coz he's been really kind to me since young, and I really appreciate all his care and concern! Above all, thank God yeah! Coz He is the ultimate provider for all these blessings!

Reflecting back, I think God has been really faithful to His word, even though many times I've strayed away. Through my stubbornness, He has shown his mercy and grace upon my life, and really, in reality I don't deserve one bit of it. Still, He has been really kind to me, and has really expanded my vision to help me see beyond what my hands could reach. In return, I have to be a good steward yeah. I want to be able to touch people's lives in as many ways as I can, and be a pillar of support for them in times of need. Guess it's a long way ahead for me, but I'm working towards it! So give me time yeah?
