Niagara Falls! WOw, it was awesome! I managed to see both the American Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls too! The latter is much nicer though. Sailed on the Maid of the Mist, which went near the Canadian Falls, and the Cave of the Winds, in which we walked under the American Falls. It was beautiful!

"Itinerary". I'm free tml! Yeah! Can go shopping at the mall, and eat my favourite Chinese buffet! For 5bucks, we can eat all we want! Cool isn't it? Ha. Don't laugh at me k, I just simply miss Chinese food too much! Sigh. Anyway, I'll be going to Put-In-Bay next Wed, Airryale's parent's are gonna drive Sheng and I to Michigan the following wk on 18-19! So excited, coz we can finally go to a proper factory outlet to shop! Laughs. The following-following wk will be the baseball game, and Curvy (one of Sheng's friends) will be driving us down to Cleveland to eat Asian food! Ahh..wished time wd quickly pass!

Expenditure. I've been trying to save alot! I save on lunches and dinner, and hopefully losing weight! (Keith, I dun wanna be CHUBBY k!) Laughs. Corn's the opposite though! He's like spending tons on food, and on everything else too! His supervisor offered to sell him a car for $500, and he's gonna share it with some of his friends. Still say he's broke after spending 1600 on his videocam! Faints.

Movies! Starwars is out here! Not exactly a fan of it though, just waiting for Mr and Mrs Smith to come out on June 10. The trailers look really interesting! : )

The Bet. Darling Mee-shell and I made a bet with Mervyl not to put on any weight. Seriously, it's really tough though. Not that we eat alot, but the food here is just really cheesy and oily. And plus the fact that we don't perspire, it doesn't help one bit. Sigh. I'm still up to the challenge though! Gonna buy a weighing machine tml! Laughs.

American Culture. I love the american culture of hugging! Laughs. But of course we don't hug everyone we meet here, only our close friends. And one other thing here, is that I can get tons of clothes my size! Laughs. Coz I fit into an XS or S here, which are one of the odd sizes which hardly fit the locals here. Surprisingly, the locals here are super big-sized, but the ppl from other states normal; and I have to admit, some are really hot! But don't think anything otherwise k! Laughs. Last thing, the measurements here are so different! We measure stuff in pounds, inches, farenheit, dimes (10cents), nickels (5cents), pennies (1cents), and quarters (25cents). All so confusing! Laughs. Trying to get used though, esp during buying stuff. Long gave up trying to convert stuff into Sin dollars.

Okie, gtg, coz I'm using Mervyl's com to blog, and it's like 3.13am in the morning le. Nites!

Heya! So glad that I hitched a ride home, so I cd use the internet at the recreation centre now. Anyway, I'm doing fine here, so no worries! thanks for all the sms-es! I miss home so much! ANyway, here's abit more of my life!

Chicago. The trip was cancelled coz there wasn't enough ppl to fill a bus. So sad! But anyway, since I was free, I went out with the THais for the day; 2 cars, we drove for bout 2-3 hours to Columbus, the capitol of Ohio. The ride was good! I love riding in fast cars along the country side! Thomas drove at bout 95miles per hour, and boy was I a little freaked out. Anyway, we shopped at 2 major shopping areas in Columbus - City Centre and Tuttle Crossing. Bought so much again! Laughs. Bought a guess watch for bout US$41+, the one tt Paris Hilton advertised for! It's really nice! And inexpensive too! Laughs. Bought a white jeans from Gap, and a T-shirt from Abercrombie! Abercrombie here's really not cheap though; thought otherwise. ANyway, the trip was great! We ate sushi and chinese food on the way back, and reached Commons only bout 12midnight.

Food. The food here is really salty, and cheesy too. Michelle and I usually cook in our dorms; we survive on maggi mee and hotdogs like 98% of the time, unless we hitch a ride to go out to eat. My appetite's really bad though, and we hardly eat, coz we're so sick of the food. But I have to say, the ice-cream here is cheap! A gigantic tub can be only bout 5 bucks! Laughs. I miss home food though! Gonna try cooking penne with tomato soup now for Michelle b4 she comes back! *Excited!

The Cons. Now for the downsides to living here. Every week, there's like a fire evacuation at 3am in the morning! And people here do drugs like outside our dorms everynight. The police are here like almost every night, and I just got checked the day before by one policeman, coz we went out to Louie's to chill. Bottomline - it's really not very safe here, so that's why the guys always come to our dorms to chat instead of vice versa. Sigh.
Gotta go! time's up! Cya!

Weather. The weather here is killing! It can be hot in the morning, yet super cold in the afternoon. It's Sunday night here now, and the wkend's been horrible. It's extremely cold, I can hardly breathe at times while walking. The temperature has dropped to like below 40 degrees, and the winds are blowing at 18miles/hr! FREEZING man.

Friends. Made more new friends, and they're all pretty friendly. The Thais I've met are Em, Chet, Mui, Champ, Bee and Pat. Champ's the awesome cook, while Chet's the guy who's always calling me a cute girl. Laughs. Once, he wanted to comment that I looked cute, but he ended up sayin "why are you cute?". Had the urge to burst out laughing, but didn't, coz I knew his english wasn't that good. Well, I'm learning some German here too, and I'm picking up fast! Realized I'm quite good with languages. Gotta brush up my chinese though! Laughs.

Room-mates. I've like a full 15 other room-mates now, coz all have arrived here. Gosh, it's bad in the morning, coz being a light sleeper, I get awoken up with each yell or telephone call. Sigh. Guess have to give and take yeah. The people in my apartment are pretty nice though, only that we're all super messy. Laughs. Haven't seen Corn like in a wk. He's like MIA, somewhere. But met another Singaporean though. The first time I walked past him on the Midway, I thought he was an American-born Chinese. But when I visited the guy's dorm for the first time, den I realized that he's Corn's room-mate, from SIngapore! Laughs.

Oh dear, gtg! My internet time's up! Miss u all!

Awesome! Went to ride the roller coasters today! It was really cool! At first, we sat all the medium range roller coasters, coz had no guts to sit the top thrills, till champ (one of the thai guys) came to sit with me on the Millenium Force. It was really breath-taking! Literally! It was voted the BEST roller coaster on the planet since the yr 2000, and boy, it's really no joke! It travels at 90miles/hr, and the free fall was so scary! Another is the Mantis, which is a standing roller coaster (yes, as in u stand while riding!) It was kinda weird, but it's a cool ride! The only top thrills I've yet to have the guts to try is the Power Tower (free fall from 24 storeys), and the Dragster (fastest roller coaster in the world, and the scariest!). And also the Challenge Park! Which houses the Ripcord (which is worse than a bungee jump; they strap ur body, and swing u from a pendulum over 24 storeys!), and the Extreme Trampoline (which is not any better). Laughs. Anyone dare to ride with me?

Out-town trips. I've signed up for two day-trips! One to Chicago on 19th May (next thurs), and the other to Niagara Falls on 25th! So excited!! Gosh, I can't wait to go! Oh ya, I've met some Malaysians here too. They're studyin over at WMU (western michigan), and they're travelling down to Missisippi this sat!

Oops, gtg, will blog again soon! Hope u all are ok!

Hi! Whoah...it's freezing cold here at night. It's like about 10pm on Sat night here in Sandusky.

Freaky. I was alone in the apartment now coz I'm the earliest back. Wanted to use the internet, but lost my ID card, so I backtracked through the grass to look for it. Then I felt someone staring at me, and I looked ard, and saw a guy in the dark staring straight back at me. A chill just ran down my back as I ran back to the apartment. Found my ID back there, and here I am at the recrea blogging. Phew.

Gorgeous. The scenary here is really breath-taking. Especially sunsets and sunrises. The whole sky's like a rainbow! And coz it's turning from spring to summer now, the trees (originally bare) are starting to grow leaves once again. It's beautiful! Wished I cd upload the pics now, hopefully sometime soon ya!

Frenzy. Shopping was awesome yesterday! Went to the sandusky mall, at JC Penny and Sears. Bought SO MUCH clothes. Gosh. Most prized was my white DKNY jacket! Got it at only USD$39.90, coz it was on sale. Haha, tink all of you will go crazy shopping here too, coz the clothes are so cheap! The cheapest was an off-shoulder top from rue21 (forever21) at USD$1.00! Laughs. Oh ya, Sue! I got ur Hershey's lip balm! All my friends went crazy over it man. Everyone was asking me where I got it. Laughs.

Touching. Worked half a day at a candle shop today, am so tired now. While working, a teenage girl came up to me and told me "You're really so pretty", and I was so touched. Not writing this to flatter myself, but seriously, the locals here hardly talk to me, coz for some reasons, they don't really think much of Asians. Still, I'm really grateful that the ppl that I've met were nice. Especially the ppl from other states; they're much more open and friendly than the locals. : )

*Away* Ooh! There's fireworks out there now! Wow!

Exhilarating! Here in Ohio is Cedar Point, the largest and voted for 6 consecutive years the best amusement park in the world. It houses the world's fastest and craziest roller-coasters. Man, wish I cd let u see how scary the rollercoasters are. Think my shock-proof mum wd also think twice b4 seating them. Laughs. By the way, Happy Mother's Day!

Okie, gotta go now! Thanks for all the sms/mms! Sorry Keith, I had to cut short on the phone coz my taxi came, and Meiling, you look so cute in the picture! : ) Miss you all so much, and hope you're missing me too! Grins. Ta!

PS: Jie, thanks so much for helping me! I appreciate it alot!

Heylo! I've reached Ohio safely! The flight plus transit took over 36 hours! Travelled from Singapore to Taipei to Seattle to Newark and finally to Cleveland. My friends and I found a taxi which took us to Sandusky (another hr's ride). So tired when we reached. I found an awesome room-mate: Another Michelle! She's super sweet, making me breakfast and lunch, coz I'll be out on orientation tml early. We dined out at TGI Fridays, before slumping into bed. The next day, the whole group of us shopped out at Walmart. It was HUGE! Supposed to be on a budget, but the 2 of us spent like over a $100 US just on groceries and some clothes (oops). Laughs. But the food here is cheap man. Maggi mee's like only 10 cents a packet, and donuts each a dime. GOnna have to watch my diet! Ha..

Anyway, I still can't get internet! So frustrated. The AOL from walmart's not working. Maybe it's apartment we're stayin in. Sigh. But fortunately, we made some Thai friends who were so friendly. Visiting their apartment now over at bayside, gonna go over to the living rm to chat soon. Anyway, do update me on all ur stuff k! I'm growing homesick, coz the weather's bad here. It's sooOOo cold, even in the afternoons, between 5-15 degrees. Miss u all alot!

Really hope I can blog again soon! -BIG hug-

PS: Can someone tell my dad to activate my GPRS? Tell him to sign up for me sms at www.roamingsms.com, as well as www.phonecards.com for phonecalls, coz my calling card's down to less than 20mins worth le. Called him, and at home, but no one answered. Someone help me! Thanks! : )
