MANGO Sale!

It starts today! Laughs..Liyun called last night, and commented, "You're a girl, how can you not know???" Haha..think she's one really cool CGL..sHe's even taking half day off from work just to go shop! Argh..I'm so tempted to go as well! THink i'll pop by after work tOo! Grinz.

Oh ya, mtg my sec schools friends at Holland V later tonight too! Wow, it's been a super, duper long time since I last met them! Wonder how they are..grown older? prettier? Anyway, just simply love Holland V! It's my fave place to hang out, other den Wheelock's NYDC! If you've not tried NYDC, you shd repent, rite now! Laughs. They have awesome baked rice there - esp mushroom ham! Laughs. And ooh ya! Both SUe and Gorgeous are back in Singapore! It's been ages since we last managed to all meet! Bet u're wondering who Gorgeous is! Grinz. That's Celine! She's this really pretty and dazzling girl! As so her nickname - Gor-geous! ~Wink

And ooh! My CG's multiplying this wkend! Both hAppy and sad! You know what I mean. Hmm..really gonna miss the other half of them! But at least we're still in the same svc! Remembered the last time we had multiplication last yr, deana and gab's cg stayed back in bro. darren's zone, while we moved to sun svc..wow, that was a major change! Rem the other cg sang a farewell song for us, which made us all cry and hug each other! Those were really good times...but there're better times to come, yeah! =) Looking forward to what the next half of the year would bring. Liyun reminded me to set goals once again..really important to! Guess the Israel trip was really an awesome one for her, she said she felt the word come alive! Like all the names and places we often skip in the old Testament, is so real! Guess seeing is believing, yeah? Really encouraged me to go for the trip next yr! Will set aside time to go! =) If u haven't, do try too!

OKie, shall pen down here and start working! It's FRIDAY! YipEEeeEee! "Rejoice in the Lord al-ways, and again I say rejoice..Rejoice!" Laughs..

ACCIDENT!

Gosh, I was kinda freaked out. Wonders why my holidays are always so event-ful? Laughs. Well, let me tell u more about my trip! Had an awesome weekend in Bangkok with my mum, dad n sis! Was supposed to go shopping one day, and sight-seeing the next, but we ended up shopping for the whole 2 days! Ok, let's begin:

Fri: Left Singapore at 830pm, reached Bangkok at 930pm (BKK's 1 hr earlier). We took Thai Air, but the travel guy over at BKK thought we were taking some Anadanam airlines, and he waited at the wrong terminal!! So we were kinda stranded at the BKK airport. The delay got us 2 hrs late to the hotel..what a start..laughs. Was kinda tired, so plopped into bed!

Sat: Went to shop at Chatuchak, the weekend market. It was really claustrophobic in there, but the items there were really cheap! My mUm bought lots of cloth mats and stuff for our house, while I bought over 10 pairs of earrings! After 3hrs, we surrendered, and cabbed back to our hotel. Next, we went to MBK (Mah Boon Krong), a popular shopping centre for teens! Bought lots of clothes, till my legs were almost breaking! Then dinnertime came - my mUm and dad went to meet one of their business friend, while I chilled out with my Thai friends at Chidlom. Got to know some new people! Fong and erm..i forgot the other guy's name! Anyway, i shopped at Chidlom for some *blush* - lingerie, and after, Pang (my friend from Chula), brought us out to the French music festival. It was real packed there; didn't really quite appreciate their kind of rock music, but there was this grp of people rocking their heads away! Interesting! Next, we went to grab a bite at a cafe-club. Ordered spaghetti, and boy, it was chilli hot! Laughs.
After, my friend brought us to Khao San Road, kinda like a long stretch of road, selling stuff from beads to bags to bikinis! I got a cartoon caricature drawn of myself! The guy drew me like a kid on a skateboard! Laughs. THere's also a great place for clubbing! But we didn't drink, coz my friend was driving. We went up to starbucks, and to an art museum. Gosh, the atmosphere there was great! A band was playin some hawaiian-like music with the tom-toms (my fave!). We den walked down the long stretch of Khao San Road..before heading back to the car. Den guess what? when we reached the car park, we realised the car was locked inside! Coz the car park closed at 11pm, while we reached at 1145! So we waited a long time for the security guy to come to unlock it, after which, my friend suggested going this place where sells bread with milk that tastes really great! SO we headed off!
However, on the way, we met with an accident! She was driving round a huge roundabout, when a van rammed into our car! I knocked real hard against the window still, coz the van rammed right into my door! Really thank God for keeping me safe! It's a good thing my friend was driving a big mercs, which helped buffer some of the impact, or my head wd have been smashed! Gosh, I was feeling dizzy as we waited for help to come. While my friend's car door was badly dented, the van which smashed us was in a much worser state. The bumper was almost off, and every few minutes, something seem to drop from the car front. Didn't know whether to laugh or not..so I just kept mum. It was a memorable incident, really! It was the first accident for all in the car, so we were kinda shocked. I felt kinda sad for the van's owner though. It was a young Thai couple who were on their way to deliver fresh chicken to a restaurant. The wife cried as my friend's insurance guy came to investigate the damage. Felt kind of sorry for them.

Sun: Didn't want to wake up, coz I was dead tired, but finally pulled myself up for breakfast. Told my mum more bout the accident last night, and she burst out laughing when I said 'something dropped from the van every few minutes'. Kinda sadistic yeah! Anyway, we went to Siam Square to shop! Bought lots of skirts (almost 10 in total!) GOsh, wonders when i'll start wearing them. Had a Japanese buffet lunch at Siam Discovery Centre (which houses my fave shop - Loft!). Lunch was great! Had free flow of EVERYTHING! Boy, they can never have that kind in S'pore for sure, coz they'll prob generate losses instead! Felt like a glutton after eating so much, that I skipped dinner! Then, we took a skytrain to Chidlom to shop, and after, to Pratunam. Bought a Thai pink bag! Like it alot! Grinz. ANyway, another interesting thing happened! We flagged for a cab back to hotel on the busy road, and a blur taxi driver stopped and offered to take us. However, he didn't know where our hotel was, and brought us on a merry-go-round! Laughs. When he finally gave up, he stopped and flagged another cab for us. He was so nice, coz he didn't charge us a cent! We got out, and shifted to the 2nd cab. However, this time round, after making a U-turn to the other side of the road, the 2nd cab broke down, coz the car was over-heated! Daddy said he saw smoke coming out from the hood! Laughs. The cab driver then flagged for a 3rd cab! We burst out laughing as we got in, and boy, the 3rd cab was a dangerous driver! while making a sharp turn, he speeded up and horned at the cars beside him, and swerved! We were so stunned, we stop laughing, and den the cab driver burst out laughing now, and said 'Sorry, sorry' in perfect english! I was shocked for words! Laughs. Arriving at the hotel, I watched telly till I fell asleep! zzZzzz...

Mon: Woke up late as my mum and sis went swimming and jacuzzi in the morning. After which, we went shopping at the hotel itself, and ate yummy hagaen daaz ice cream, before heading to the airport. And once again, something was delayed. It was our flight this time round, and it was delayed for 2 hrs! Well, grumble grumble. ANyway, I met Simin n her stead at the airport. A coincidence, we were taking the same flight back! Well, anyway, with the ample time, I played around with my mUmmy! Suprised? Laughs. My mummy pushed me round in circles as I sat in a trolley, and she called it 'Round the World in 80 seconds!' Laughs. After which I did the same for her, only much faster! We den did shopping again at the duty free section, buyin chocs, cookies, and my sling bag! It was an amazing trip there! Wished it could last longer though! =)

Wow, I wrote sOooo..much! Like an essay! Should stop here...or I'll bore u to tears. Have a yUmmy week ahead! WiNK~

4. 1 plate of char kuay teow
5. 1 plate of chee cheong fun
6. 1 plate of sting ray
7. 1 plate of popiah
8. 1 bowl of grass jelly
9. 1 bowl of ice kacang

Gosh, there goes my diet! Argh. Better go into hibernation this week.
Anyway, I've thought of taking up dance classes again! Still not decided where..but, oh ya, they just opened an amore studio at kovan's heartland mall! If u don't know wat's that, it's a gym/aerobics studio for girls! Laughs. It offers kickboxing, hip-hop, jazz, and other cardio workouts! Hmm...wonders if my mUm wd b interested tOo? Make a guess, u think so? Well, I'll give a shot! =) After all that junk food, guess I'll have to work out something other than self-condemnation.

Ok...keep it short! Write again..ta!~

@Town with BiQi!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder; Familiarity breeds contempt.
I disagree!

It's funny that sometimes people have this conception that taking a break from God can perhaps re-energize your relationship with Him. But few ever came back, on fire as before. Laughs. To me, relationships are built on the basis of continual communication and commitment, and not a one-time event in the past. That's why I contest that statement. Conversely, I feel that familiarity makes the heart grow fonder, while absence breeds contempt. Laughs. This way sounds weird too. Haha..perhaps they are not mutually exclusive after all, eh? Grinz.

Anyway, wow, time flies, it's my last month at RP now. Gonna miss my colleagues, n playing table soccer! Grinz. Oh ya, I got accepted into SMU! Just had my interview last friday, got my offer letter on Monday! Really thank God! It's really by His grace that I got in, coz my grades aren't that fantastic. Thought it was near impossible to get in, coz there's only a 100 vacancies for this course. It's tough this year, only 1 in 9 got into SMU. So thank God!

Hmm..I'm so, so looking forward to studying again. Feel as if my mind's been hibernating the past year! Wonders if I should join debates again..hMm..have to choose my commitments wisely, yeah? But I'm determined to study hard this time. Been slacking thru my poly, it's time for me to repent! Laughs. Reading some stuff, 'bout their summer schools, which are conducted in Canada, US or Switzerland. Sounds cool! And their exchange programs too! Wow! Laughs. Ookok..shan't go on so far...one step at a time!

oOh..gotta go! 15 mins more! Gonna meet BiQi in town! BiQi was formerly in my CG, but now she's gone back to Malaysia to study! Haven't seen her in a long while! Wonder how she's changed? Grinz. I'll know soon enuff..WiNk~ Ta!

Weekend!

WHoa! So glad the weekends are here! I'm dead tired, but real excited too! Laughs. Today's one of my colleague's last day at work..his name's real unique - Tata! Grinz..he's going back to Indonesia..to get married! Wow! Wonders when I'll ever settle down..I've not even had a bf before! Laughs. ANyway, just had my SMU interview yest morning...the verbal interview was ok! But the written test was horrifying! Given a choice from 3 different topics to write within half an hr..I chose one that goes something like this: You are reading your 300-page autobiography, what do u see on page 239? Easy topic? Kinda...but my mind was blank at 10am in the morning, and all I could think of was the conference the night before! And guess what I wrote? I ended up writing on dreams and potential! Laughs..felt as if I was preaching in my essay! Faints. But really, the emerge conference this year really impacted me. It shook me, to take a more pro-active stance, and not be laid back. Reminded me why I chose this church as my home church - coz of the strong presence of God! Want to be a carrier of His presence! As I read some other ppl's blogs, I'm really happy that they've been impacted by the conference too! =) But words and feelings must translate into actions, yeah? So let's go for revival! Revival = a time of reawakening, a time of restoration!

Let's move it!

Laughs!

Guess why I'm laughing? Grinz. Was so tired last night, but I insisted on stayin up after eating cup noodles at 12am, so I went to blog (my other blog!), n wrote all nonsense in my daze; and reading back, I burst out laughing. All my spelling and grammer went wacky..laughs. Anyway, the emerge conference was GREAT! The presence of God was so strong, I cdn't help but tear! But it was really GOOD! =)

Anyway, also met lots of old/new friends at the conference! Bumped into Gab while queuing to go into the audi, haven't talked to him in ages! He's getting his diving license soon, hopefully I'll get mine soon tOo! He's finishin navy next yr, goin NUS Engineering; thought of joining Word Power next yr too! Boy, gonna have another tough competitor! Laughs. Met some of my sister's zone members too, cdn't recog me, coz I look quite different from my sis..met Kelvin back home on the bus too. He's a CGL now! Wow, time really flies! When I first met him, he just became the CG guitarist! Gosh, feeling old le! Anyway, hope he wins the talentime!

Sigh, so many things I wanna write about the conference! But my mind's like running on a 286 now, lagging real bad! Laughs. Mummy Tan just left for China this morning tOo. Gonna miss her, sigh. Hmm..will post soon! [Power off]
